Hayloft Cottage has been carefully converted
from a 300 year old barn retaining many original features. History
shows that Hayloft Cottage belonged to the old lead mines in the
village and the horses were stabled there for some considerable
time. To the rear there is a private patio and garden with garden
furniture and extensive views of Blencathra, which dominates the
whole village. A lot of thought has been put into this cottage
and the owners take great pride in keeping up the high standards
of maintenance and cleanliness.
There are terrific views from all windows
towards the fells. There is the additional feature of a drying
room to the back of the cottage, ideal for the occasional wet
day.
Our sister cottage, Apple Tree Cottage, is a New Built Lakeland Stone Cottage standing at the foot of one of the most exciting fells of the Lake District - Blencathra. Apple Tree Cottage also sleeps 6.
